For the last several years SCOPE (Ric McClelland) has been a mainstay artist on Large and has helped build the "new" Large sound.  We sit down with him and ask him 7 questions and get some terrific answers:

1. Ric, 2011 seems to have been a very busy year for you. Can you tell us a few highlights professionally?

Highlights definitely have to be working on and finishing my debut album and then setting up my label Seven Music.

Just who is Matthias Vogt?  We recently sat down with our beloved German based artist and asked him seven basic questions to introduce him to the Large Music family:

1. Tell us about where you grew up? Was it Frankfurt?

I was born in Rüsselsheim and grew up there, which is an half hour drive from Frankfurt. It's the city where Adam Opel was born, and Opel cars are built there. My grandfather moved to Rüsselsheim to work at Opel as an upholsterer (General Motors owns Opel now). Fooling around I started to call my hometown Motorcity.. and my music was music with soul, so that kind of was the birth of my project Motorcitysoul, which i still run with my studio partner C-Rock. I moved to Frankfurt about seven years ago by the way.

2) Do you come from a family of musicians?

I do indeed. My father was a choir director, plus he played trumpet, guitar, piano and violin. He had a trombone choir, where my brother played as well. My father wrote lots of arrangements himself. My mother sang in his church choir. - Does this sound oldschool?
